Edward Sahac Jacobs, 84, formerly of New Britain and Farmington, died peacefully Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the McClean Home. He was the husband of the late Sadie Marzbanian Jacobs. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Sahac and Rose Bagdasarian Jacobs. He was a New Britain resident most of his life and was a US Army Veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater of Operations. Edward was formerly employed at American Hardware, retiring from Emhart after 40 years of employment. He was a life long member of St. Stephen's Armenian Apostolic Church, where he formerly served on the Board of Trustees. As a young man he was an A.Y.F. member. Ed's passion was golf. He enjoyed playing golf most recently at Farmington Woods, where he will be missed on the course by his friends. Surviving are a daughter, Darlene Evslin of West Hartford; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward R. and Cheryl Jacobs of Windham, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, Armen and Sherry Jacobs of FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Raymond Paradis of Kensington and Lila and Andrew Winters of Plainville; three grandchildren, Dr. Jarah Evslin, Kim Almasian and her husband Joe, Randy Hagopian; three great-grandchildren, Armen Almasian, Meline Almasian, and Tamar Almasian; and many dear cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 22nd at 10 A.M. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
