Edmund Witzke

Edmund Witzke, 87, of New Britain, husband of Theresa Witzke, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003. Born in Germany, he was the son of Ludwig and Mathilde Schachtschnider Witzke. He was a former Plainville resident and a New Britain resident since 1969. He was a member of Bethany Covenant Church. Edmund loved his family. He enjoyed gardening and flowers, working around the house, and building many things. In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by five daughters, Irmagard Berger of Kensington, Elfrieda Buettemeyer of New Britain, Hannelore Clarke of Boynton Beach, FL, Annelisa Chalko and Mary Helene Jobs, both of Southington; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Arnold Witt. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St., Berlin. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Plainville.
