Dorothy E. Sandberg

Dorothy E. Sandberg, of New Britain, died Monday, March 24, 2007 at the Jerome Home. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Nelson Sandberg. Dorothy was a life long New Britain resident and was formerly employed in the purchasing department at Fafnir Bearing Co., now Textron Industries. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of the Reformation. Surviving are two nephews, Carl E. Anderson Jr. of Durham and Alan D. Anderson of Plainville; one niece, Naomi Grainger of Colorado Springs, CO; several grandnieces and grandnephews, and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church, 77 Franklin Sq., New Britain, CT 06051.
