Dorothy M. (Pabst) Marcum Rose

Dorothy M. (Pabst) Marcum Rose, 63, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Friday. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Rose. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of late Alfred and Dorothy (Sunburg) Pabst. Dorothy is a member of St. Joseph Church and a lifelong New Britain resident. She worked as an Inspector for Kip Inc. as well as Skinner Valve for many years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Wayne B. Marcum, Jr. of New Britain, two daughters and a son-in-law, Renee and Charles Champion of AL, Mary Marcum of New Britain, eight grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law Malcolm and Kathy Pabst of Berlin, and her sister Honor Erikson of Wethersfield. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother Adrian Pabst. Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray the costs of final disposition and dropped off at the New Britain Diner, 24 hours a day or at the Blaze Hair Salon during normal business hours.
