She loved family gatherings, holidays, music (especially Taiko drumming), and sunsets. She was a teacher for many years in the Berlin, Connecticut elementary schools, where, as she said: "I love teaching anybody shorter than I am". Children would cheer when she walked into their classrooms as a substitute teacher. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church in New Britain, Connecticut. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Robert ("Bob") Lee, her daughter Jinny Lee, and her daughter-in-law, Linda B. Lee. She leaves behind three children, Dorothy, Robert and Barbara; a sister, Virginia P Godwin; ten grandchildren, Troy, Steven, Wayne, Aaron, Nathan, Robert, Jeremy, Katharine, William and Charles; ten great grandchildren, Zachariah, Brittany, Kayla, Mariah, Germaine, Brandon, Austin, Sylvanna, Kai and Nicolas; one great great-grandchild Kaylon; and several nieces and nephews.
