Dorothy E. “Dottie” Eaton, 79, of New Britain, beloved wife of Bruce W. Eaton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2016.

Born in Hartford, she was a former Plainville resident before moving to New Britain 30 years ago. Dottie was a faithful member of Bethany Covenant Church, where she was a prayer warrior, and where she formerly served with the Stephens Ministry, and on the Evangelism and Outreach Ministry.

Surviving are her husband, Bruce Eaton; five children, Paula Woodworth and her husband Jim, Gary LeDuc, Cheryl LeDuc, Danielle Rivera and her husband Luis, Marc LeDuc and his wife Lisa; a step son, Danny Eaton; her brothers and sisters, Peggy Alexander, Robert Thiel, James Thiel, and Marie Gredvig; her grandchildren, Wendy, Nathan, Samantha, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Monica, Kurtis, Nicole, Anthony, Marcus, Andrew, and Brendan; and many great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at Bethany Covenant Church, Berlin. Interment will follow the service in the Church Memorial Garden. Memorial donations may be made to Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St., Berlin, CT 06037. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
