Donna V. (Valenti) Godfrey, 52 , of New Britain passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Andrew House. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of Richard and Ruth (Lange) Valenti of New Britain. Donna was a former Berlin and Bristol resident, but lived most of her life in New Britain. Donna was formerly employed in various positions in the medical field, working in private practices and at the Hospital For Special Care. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving daughter Kimberly "Kim" Godfrey and her fiancé Phillip Nirka of New Britain; her sisters, Marion Graff and her husband Martin of Marlborough, Laura Caron and her husband Gerard of Bristol, and Karen Valenti and her significant other Tom Poland of New Britain; her aunts, Leonora Cooper and her husband David of Colchester, Helen Valenti of New Britain, and Elaine Williams and her husband Leslie of Old Lyme; and several cousins, nieces, and a nephew. She was predeceased by her uncles, Nicholas Valenti, Walter J. Lange and an aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Harry Bregonzio, as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 295 Arch St., New Britain. A calling hour will be held Thursday morning at church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
