Donald Louis Ciezynski

Donald Louis Ciezynski, 71, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 at Walnut Hill Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Rosemary (Daddario) Ciezynski. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lydia (Fanion) Ciezynski. Donald grew up in East Berlin and was a former resident of Florida. He was formerly employed as a General Contractor and later at HP Hood. Donald was a member of South Church in New Britain. Surviving are two children, Brenda Ciezynski-Weed of Southington and Joseph L. Ciezynski of New Britain; step children; Christine, James, Frederick and Robert, many grandchildren including Glenn, Priscilla, Matthew, Brandon, Austin, Preston, Mitchell and Nathen, four great grandchildren, Sirah, Samiyyah, Lillian and Andi Marie, nieces and nephews, Robert Ciezynski, Linda Sydio, Sandra Stelle, Donna Koczera, Gary and Randy Ciezynski, Joann Cyr, Debra Blackburn Siegrist, Joy and Gail Blackburn. Donald was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph A., Ronald and Edward Ciezynski, and his sister Edna Blackburn. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
