Donald T. Bartley Sr.

Donald T. Bartley Sr., 77, of Plainville, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Hospital of Central CT.

Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Arthur and Emily (Schlotterbeck) Bartley.   Donald was a Plainville resident since 1969 and was formerly employed at Hygrade Precision Technologies for 33 years, before retiring in 2000.  He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Britain.  Donald looked forward to many vacations in Aruba.  He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, UCONN Women’s Basketball, the Boston Celtics, and enjoyed playing poker once a month with his friends.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Kathleen Bartley; three sons, Donald Bartley Jr. and his wife Cara of Plainville, Scott Bartley and his wife Amy of Terryville, and Sean Bartley of Plainville; two brothers, Arthur Bartley, formerly of New Britain and Robert Bartley of Florida and Rhode Island; two sisters, Marlene Wennberg of Bristol and Lenore Bartley of New Britain; four grandchildren, Ian and Brianna Bartley, Spencer and Logan Bartley; and his grand dogs, Bella and Dakota.
