Deborah Ann King

Deborah Ann (Lyons) King, 77, of Berlin, widow of Clarence E. King, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.

Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Richard Francis Lyons and Frances (Fran, Ma or Nana) M. (Thain) Lyons. Deborah was a lifelong resident of Berlin and her house was the family hub where everyone came together for a cup of coffee.  Coffee time was the best part of our day. We loved to share stories and laugh together.  Having coffee at Deb's was always a fun adventure and those times will be missed.  One of our favorite coffee times memories was sitting around with her, our Nana and her dog Tony.  Tony was a member of the family just like many dogs are, but he would also join us daily for our coffee time. He would sit up at the table, in a chair, just like the rest of us.  He would get his own cup of coffee - light and sweet. And of course, if we were having a doughnut, he would have one too.  Oh, and if you didn't have his coffee made the way he liked it, he would just give you a look and refuse to drink it.  We had no idea this was not how every family had coffee time!  We will miss our family coffee times, but we know you are sitting at the table having coffee with everyone.

Deb also loved cats.  We don't remember a time when she didn't have one or two cats.  Her last cat Gizzy left our world only a few weeks before Deb.

Deb was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft before retiring. She was a member of St. Paul Church.

Surviving Deb are her three brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel & Sharon Lyons of South Carolina, Thomas & Nancy Lyons of Berlin, Bill and Louan Lyons of Rhode Island; and all her nieces and nephews who loved her to the moon and back, Melissa and Ken Hurd and their three kids Phoebe, Nate and Ethan, Dan and Lori Lyons and their three kids Abby, Michaela and Taylor, Kelly and Jim Brasile and their three kids Charlotte, Tessa and Hudson, and Katie Lyons and Mike Hogle and their daughter Leigh.
