David Robert Gibson, 28, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Born in New Britain he was the loving son of Susan Beth Gibson. He was a life-long Berlin resident, graduating from Berlin High School and The Culinary Institute in Farmington. David had many interests in life. He was an artist, a chef, an avid snowboarder, and musician, creating his own music by spinning records. David was lively person, and will be remembered for his sharp it, his creativity, and his humorous nature. He is survived by his mother, Susan Beth Gibson; his grandmother, the Lady Marion Doerfler; his aunt, Alison Anderson, all of Berlin; two cousins, Heath Cannon of New York, NY and Corey Cannon, Corey's wife Melissa, and their children, Giuseppi, Jack Thomas and Isabella, all of Berlin; and his beloved Missa. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Leslie Doerfler. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St., Berlin. Calling hours are Friday evening from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain.
