Danny Paul Calafiore

Danny Paul Calafiore, 47, beloved son of Pasquale and Connie Calafiore of Farmington, CT passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024, with his loving parents and family by his side.

Danny was born on December 7, 1976, in New Britain. He graduated from Farmington High School, was employed at Stop and Shop in Unionville and Miller Foods in Avon. He was a member of St. Ann Church in New Britain. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. He was a light that shined bright in the lives of many. He had a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor. He brought joy to all who were blessed to know him. His talents included painting, wood working, and jewelry making.  He loved watching movies, playing uno, and video games. He will be most remembered for his ability to lift you up and make you smile. His spirit and positive attitude were unmatched and an inspiration to anyone who met him.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his parents, Pasquale and Connie Calafiore, his brother, Salvatore and his wife Loredana, niece and nephew, Alessandro and Adriana of Farmington.  In addition, he leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Danny was also predeceased by his grandparents Salvatore and Concetta Calafiore and Paolo and Giuseppina Burgio, his godfather, Danny Burgio, his aunts, Carmela Riggio, Margaret Burgio, Rosa Calafiore and his uncles Corrado (Dino) Burgio and Paul Burgio, and cousins Linda Burgio and Angela Burgio.

Danny’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Cherry Brooke Nursing Home and UCONN ICU staff for their wonderful care and to Danny’s family and friends for their many acts of kindness and support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Church, St. Joachim Parish, 101 North St., New Britain. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours are Friday from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
