Daniel J. Roy

Daniel J. Roy, 71, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.  He was the beloved husband for 50 years of Michele Roy.

Born in Canada, he was the son of the late Roger Roy and Georgette (Boutin) Roy.  Daniel was a New Britain resident most of his life and was a graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical School.  He was formerly employed as a machinist at Stanley Works for 40 years before retiring. Daniel was dedicated to his work and his family.

Surviving are his loving wife, Michele (Charest) Roy; a daughter, Carolyn Salwen and her husband Michael of Rocky Hill; a son, Kevin Roy and his financee, April Calvin of New Britain; a brother, Martin Roy and his wife Teresa of Newington; a grandson, Evan Salwen; his aunt, Doris Fazzina of Kensington; a nephew, Ian Roy and his wife Lacey of CA; and a niece Olivia Roy and her son, Caleb of New Britain.  The family would like to thank Dr. Fernando and his group at the Herald Square Dialysis for their excellent care and support.
