Daniel Blanco

Daniel Blanco, 89 years young of New Britain, entered into eternal rest on March 22 ,2022, after fighting a ferocious battle with the grim reaper for 36 days.

Born in Cuba, he graduated from la Universidad de La Habana, served as a Sergeant in the army under Batista, and married the love of his life. In search of freedom and a better life, with strength and determination, he established his life in the United States, a Country which he loved dearly. His courage to leave behind everything and start over from scratch later in his life, is an inspiration to his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather who always put his family first and his smile always reflected that he absolutely loved life! He loved fishing, baseball, spending time with his family, and eating “BIG E-STEAKS”. He added spice to our lives and has left his family with lots of memories and funny stories that will forever burn brightly in our hearts.

Daniel devoted husband, is survived by his Mimi and wife of 66 years, Santa; his daughter, Sandra Anglis; his son, John Anglis; his grandsons, John, Alexander, and grandson Erik Blanco.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30 ^th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Erickson -Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain followed by Christian burial at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
