Confesora Cruz

Confesora Cruz, 68, of New Britain, died Monday, June 24, 2002 at the Hospital for Special Care. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Basileso Cruz and Juanita Ayala. She was a New Britain resident for the past 14 years and was a member of St. Mary Church. Surviving are three daughters, Antonia Rivera, Carmen Ayala, and Irene Santana, all of New Britain; a step son, Jorge Rivera of New Britain; a sister, Dinora Cruz of Puerto Rico; her companion, George Rivera Sr.; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and her godson, Ramon Cruz. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:30 Am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Mary Church, Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
