Clinton E. Nelson

Clinton E. Nelson, 89, of the Unionville section of Farmington, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 at UCONN Health Center. He was the widower of Elvira Rogers Nelson. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late John and Mathilda Johnson Nelson. He lived in New Britain until moving to Farmington in 1954. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was self employed as a painting contractor before retiring. Surviving are two sons, Dennis C. Nelson of Corning, CA and Phillip J. Nelson of Bloomfield; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery in Farmington. There are no calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, is in charge of arrangements.
