Cirino "Rino" Barbagallo

Cirino “Rino” Barbagallo, 73 of New Britain, passed away on February 27, 2022 at home after a brief illness with his family by his side.  He was the loving husband of Nicoletta (D’Alfonso) Barbagallo since 1995.

Cirino was born on February 6, 1949 in Sortino, Sicily to Alfio and Concettina Barbagallo. Cirino was employed and retired from B&R Machinery. He was a member of The General Ameglio Civic Association. He enjoyed playing and watching soccer and spent most of his time traveling. Rino will be most remembered for always spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Nicoletta, he is survived by two sons, Steve and Mark Barbagallo of Florida;  his two stepdaughters, Lucia Fortin and her husband Joseph, and Giovanna Ingenito and her husband Ralph; his sister, Enza Papa of Sortino Sicily; and four grandchildren, Morgan, Molly, Nancy, and Jessica. He was also predeceased by his brother Antonio and sister-in-law Sofia Barbagallo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North Street, New Britain.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.  Calling hours will be on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain.
