Christa Kwasniewski

Christa Kwasniewski, 91, of Kensington, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Margarete Flux. Christa was a former New Britain resident before moving to Kensington in 1988. She was formerly employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. before retiring.

She was a very hard worker, kept an immaculate home and loved tending to her gardens. She was also known for being an excellent cook, famous for her sauerkraut and holiday meals.

Surviving are three loving daughters, Heidemarie Perks, Gabriela Kwasniewski, and Susan Kwasniewski; and a niece, Doris Membarth living in Germany.

She was also a Grammy, and had loved and been loved by her second family of Beth and her children: Gabriel, Samuel and Daniel Lacaille and their father Michael Lacaille.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
