Charles Hicken Pauly

Charles Hicken Pauly, 74, of New Britain, died Thursday at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Birmingham, AL he was the son of the late Nicholas and Margaret Hicken Pauly. Charles was a former Rhode Island resident moving to New Britain in 1992. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1952 and was a veteran of the US Army. Charles is survived by his sister Kathryn Smith of Tucson, AZ as well as several nieces and nephews and his best friend Bill Boyes. He was predeceased by a sister Norma June Deetsh. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am in Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth, RI. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain, CT.
