Charles Nishan Hovsepian

Charles Nishan Hovsepian, 81, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, with his sister by his side.

Born in New Britain, Charles was the son of the late Charles and Sarah (Simonian) Hovsepian. A lifelong resident of New Britain, he was a graduate of Syracuse University. Charles enjoyed a successful career as a business executive and retired from Pratt & Whitney.

He is survived by his sister, Ruth Swisher and her husband, Wilford, of Newington; his nieces, Sarah Grigerick and her husband, Darell, and Lauren Swisher and her husband, Craig Pollard; and his great-nephews, Emery and Finn. Charles was predeceased by his brother, Nishan Mark Hovsepian.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
