Celia M. Perales

With deep love and sorrow, the family of Celia Perales announces her peaceful passing on February 28, 2026, at the age of 83. Celia was born on March 29, 1942, in Arroyos, Puerto Rico.

Celia was a woman of deep faith, strength, and quiet determination. Guided by her unwavering trust in God, she faced life’s challenges with courage and grace. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and the heart of her family. Her faith brought comfort to many and was the foundation upon which she built her life.

Later in life, Celia was blessed to find love again. She married Angel Medinas after meeting in church, and together they shared companionship, devotion, and cherished years as husband and wife. She passed peacefully as his beloved wife.

She leaves behind her loving children Damaris, Carmen, Carlos, Rosa, Bethzaida, and Jonathan; many grandchildren; extended family; and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, William.

Celia’s legacy is one of faith, resilience, and love. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her guidance and the values she instilled will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured and all those blessed to know her.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of her life at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Her family finds comfort in the words of Psalm 28, remembering that the Lord is our strength and our shield.

Though she is no longer with us, her love and faith will remain in our hearts forever.

Con profundo amor y sincero dolor, la familia de Celia Perales anuncia su fallecimiento en paz el 28 de febrero de 2026, a la edad de 83 años. Celia nació el 29 de marzo de 1942 en Arroyos, Puerto Rico, un lugar que siempre llevó en su corazón sin importar a dónde la llevara la vida.

Celia fue una mujer de fe profunda, fortaleza y resiliencia silenciosa. Su amor por Dios guiaba cada uno de sus pasos, y sus oraciones cubrían a su familia en cada etapa de la vida. Fue una madre y abuela dedicada — presencia firme, voz de consuelo y el corazón de su familia. Su fortaleza no era escandalosa, pero sí poderosa, arraigada en la fe y en un amor incondicional.

En sus años posteriores, Celia fue bendecida con un hermoso capítulo de compañerismo. Después de conocerse en la iglesia, contrajo matrimonio con Angel Medinas, encontrando nuevamente amor y compañía. Su unión fue testimonio de que nunca es tarde para que Dios escriba una nueva historia de amor. Partió en paz como su amada y querida esposa.

Deja en vida a sus amados hijos Damaris, Carmen, Carlos, Rosa, Bethzaida y Jonathan; a sus preciados nietos; familiares; y amigos queridos que conservarán su memoria por siempre en sus corazones. Le precedió en la muerte su amado hijo, William, a quien llevó siempre en su corazón.

El legado de Celia es uno de fe, perseverancia y profundo amor por la familia. Enseñó con el ejemplo — a través del sacrificio, la oración, la fortaleza y la devoción. Aunque hoy lloramos su ausencia, celebramos una vida bien vivida, cimentada en la fe y la familia.

Familiares y amigos están invitados a reunirse en recordación y celebración de su vida en la funeraria Erickson-Hansen el jueves 5 de marzo, de 10:30 a.m. a 12:30 p.m.

Su familia encuentra consuelo en las palabras del Salmo 28, recordando que el Señor es nuestra fortaleza y nuestro escudo.

Aunque ha entrado en el descanso eterno, su amor permanece entre nosotros — en nuestras oraciones, en nuestros recuerdos y en el legado que deja.
