Carol Boncal Millard

Carol Boncal Millard, 59, of Newington, wife of Joseph F. "Joe" Millard, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Anna Boncal. She was a Newington resident most of her life and was formerly employed as a secretary for former Governor O'Neil. She was a member of the Newington Multiple Sclerosis Chapter. Carol's interest included ice-skating, animals, the ocean, and fishing. In addition to her husband Joseph, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharlene and Peter Page of Newington; a sister, Joyce Boncal of Newington; three grandchildren, Brian Page, Vanessa Hayes, and Sean Hayes; and several close cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Michael J. Millard. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, with a service to be held at 7:00 PM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 705 North Mountain Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
