Carmen Iris Mojica

Carmen Iris Mojica, 69, of New Britain, widow of Marcelino Mojica, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 19, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Puerto Rico, she was a New Britain resident for 31 years. She was a member of Iglesia Cristiana Porque de Dios Es El Poder. Surviving are her children, Mauricio Nieves, Cristobal Nieves, Margarita Rosario, Iliana Alejandro, Mario Nieves, Jennifer DeJesus, and Dennis Cruz; her brothers and sisters, Lillian Vera, Maria Rivera, Jose Luis Rivera, and Carmello Nunez; many grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 9-10 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
