Carmen I. Torres

Carmen Iris Soto Torres, 75, of New Britain passed away to be with Lord Jesus for eternity on Thursday, December 23, 2021.  She was born February 17, 1946 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico.  Carmen is the daughter of the late Juan Soto and Valentina Morales Soto.  She retired many years ago from Sherri Cup Company in Berlin CT.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending church and will be remembered for her generosity and her love for her family and friends.

She is a caring and a compassionate mother and friend, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years Carlos A. Torres of New Britain. A daughter Carmen M. Torres of New Britain, sons Edwin C. Torres, wife Cindy of Southington, Eric Torres, girlfriend Dorothy of New Britain, and Carlos L. Torres and longtime girlfriend Matilda of Plainville.

Grandchildren, Lanice, Erica, Jordan, (Arden), Mike, (Erin), Trey, Mason and Alliyah.

Great Grandchildren, Ceasar, Xavier, Emerie, Amaryllis, Delilah, Zynobia, Parker, and Camyrn.  Carmen also had nieces and nephews.  Her siblings Victor, Johnny, Jadame, Jeja, Juanna, and Mercedes.

The calling hours are Tuesday, December 28th from 5-7 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain, CT.  The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 am at the First Church of Christ Congregational Church located at 830 Corbin Ave., New Britain, CT.  Burial will follow after the service in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
