Carmen Maritza Cruz Cartagena, 52, of New Britain, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.
Surviving are her husband, Jose Cartagena and father Miguel Cruz ; four children and their companions, Jose Jimenez and Luz Sanchez, Maritzabel Hernandez and Michael Sexton, Francisco Jimenez Jr. and Brianne Groth, Jeffrey Jimenez and Zasha Mendez; four step children, Juan Cartagena, Jose Cartagena, Suelay Cartagena, and Jose Cartagena; four grandchildren, Robert Eldred,Diamond Sexton, Destiny Sexton and Rhianna Cartagena (Yahaira Torrez); six brothers and two sisters including Miguel Cruz Jr.; also several nieces and nephews including Hector Ortiz III & Alondra Ortiz, including loving brother & sisters-in-law (Cartagenas Family)
Carmen Maritza enjoyed the casino, especially her visits to the Mohegan Sun Casino.
Funeral services and calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-6 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Memorial donations may be made to the family, care of Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.Past Services
