Carmen Aponte

Carmen Aponte, 61, of New Britain, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at home. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Bernardo and Filomena Aponte, and was a New Britain resident for over 30 years. She was a member of Cristo Redentor A.G. Surviving are her companion, Jesus Rodriguez; her brother, Gilberto Aponte of Puerto Rico; a special nieces, Nereida Hernandez of New York, and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday from 6-9 PM and Saturday from 9-10 AM at Cristo Redentor A.G. on 40 Acorn St., New Britain with Rev. Roberto Rivera officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
