Carmelo Nunez, Jr.

Carmelo Nunez Jr., 35, of New Britain, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Born in New Britain, he was a life long resident. He was employed as a Certified HVAC technician and was also employed at USA Glass & Mirror in New Britain. Carmelo was a Certified Boxing Trainer and trained with the World Class Fighter name supplied by family. He was a catechism instructor and was a member of St. Mary Church. Surviving are his parents, Rosalia Nunez and Carmelo Nunez; two brothers, Hector Nunez and his girlfriend Paula, Jose Nunez and his girlfriend Angela Mazerolle; two sisters, Yolanda Nunez and her boyfriend Ozzy Raposo, Roalydia Nunez and her husband Freddy Felix; his Godmother, Marina Nunez and Godfather, Fernando Nunez; his girlfriend, Allyn Melendez; his nieces and nephews, Freddy Felix Jr and girlfriend Lucy, Mark A. Torres, Marisela, Alfredo, Yolanda, Marielena and Tianaly Felix, Gabrielle Garcia, and Neviah Nunez; his aunts and uncles, Antonio Cresencia, Secundino, Ramon, Julia, and Maria Nunez, Victor Cruz and his wife Ramona, Carmen, Papo, and Gladys Cruz, and Julio Reyes; and many cousins including Ana Romero. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 7-9 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
