Carlos Juan Plaza

Carlos Juan Plaza, 62, of New Britain, went home to be with the Lord
on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was
the husband of Mary Jane (Swol) Plaza.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Juan Isabel Plaza and
Francisca Crespo. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was retired from
Northeast Utilities, where he worked for many years. He was a long
time friend of Bill W’s in good standing. Carlos was a member of
Christ Community Presbyterian Church in West Hartford. He loved his
family, and enjoyed vacationing to see his family in Puerto Rico,
horseback riding with his grandkids, and to historic sites.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Swol) Plaza; three children,
Allison, Carlos, and Mary-Francis; his grandsons, Gabriel, Robert, and
Nathaniel; his brothers and sisters, Lucy Plaza, Pura Plaza, Flora
Plaza and her husband Jose Peluyera, Carmen Plaza and her husband
Angel Lopez, Elizabeth Smith and her husband Neil, Steven Plaza,
Andrea Plaza and her husband Rafael Collazo, Annie Plaza, Margie Plaza
and her husband Salvador Vasquez.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 PM at Erickson-Hansen
Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Calling hours are
Saturday from 1-3 PM at the funeral home.
