Carlos Collazo Jr.

Carlos Collazo Jr., 64, of Newington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Carlos Collazo Sr. and Josefina Miranda.  Carlos was a U.S. Army Infantry Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was employed as a licensed plumber and was the owner of Carlos Handyman Services.  Carlos attended Calvary Christian Center.  He was active in the Veterans Community, helping other veterans with transportation and other needs.

Surviving are his daughter, Daisy Collazo; two sisters, Nellie Collazo and Adrianna Rivera; a brother, Angel Cruz; and his nieces, Dawn Medina, Amanda Medina, Faith Medina, and Laura Medina.

Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.  Burial, with military honors, will be in the State Veterans Cemetery Middletown at 1 pm.
