Carlos Gonzalez Barreiro, 16, of New Britain, Connecticut, entered eternal rest on January 1, 2026. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Carlos brought light, joy, and love into the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
Carlos is survived by his devoted mother, Luz Barreiro; his stepfather, Anastacio Martinez; his loving sister, Angeliz Gonzalez; his beloved grandmother, Maria Delgado; and his partner, Elizabeth. He was deeply cherished by his family and held a place in their hearts that can never be replaced.
Carlos had a gentle soul and a creative spirit. He found joy in anime—especially Naruto—and expressed himself through music, with a deep love for the songs of Juice WRLD. Carlos enjoyed streaming and creating video chats on YouTube, where he connected with others and shared his unique personality. Most of all, he treasured time spent with his girlfriend, laughing with his family, and playing board games together—moments filled with warmth, love, and togetherness that will be forever remembered.
Though his time on earth was far too brief, Carlos’ life was rich with meaning and love. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the gentle joy he brought to those around him. While our hearts grieve his loss, we take comfort in our faith, trusting that Carlos is now at peace in God’s loving embrace, watching over us with the same love he so freely gave in life.
Services will be held on January 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and prayer as we honor Carlos’s life, love, and lasting legacy.
