Carl F. Hartwich

Carl F. Hartwich, 48, died on September 30, 2010, at NBGH. A lifelong resident of New Britain, he attended local schools, and worked at Texas Lunch in New Britain for many years, throughout the 70's and 80's. Carl had been a resident of Amberwoods Healthcare in Farmington for the past several years, where he struggled to regain his independence. Carl was the son of the late Eleanor and Alex Hartwich. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Alex and David, and his niece, Ashley. He is survived by his brother and sister in law, Alan and Susan, his brother Bruno, his sister Lenore, his nieces and nephews, Alan Jr, Christine, Sarina, Adam, Melanee, Justin, Aaron, his great niece Lily, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family wishes to invite all friends and family to come share their memories of Carl with them. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. A Memorial Service and Burial will immediately follow calling hours, at Holy Trinity Byzantine Church Cemetery on Osgood Avenue in New Britain.
