Rev. C. Ernest Harman

Rev. C. Ernest Harman, 97, of Cromwell, a former New Britain resident, when home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife, Grayce (Bortner) Harman. Born in Montgomery, PA, he was the son of Charles Luther and Jennie (Beatty) Harman. Rev. Harman was the Pastor of the Peoples Church in New Britain for many years and served as Chaplain at New Britain General Hospital, the Hospital for Special Care, and at numerous nursing homes. He later became the Associate Pastor for Visitation at Bethany Covenant Church, retiring in 1985. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 PM in the Chapel of Covenant Village of Cromwell. Memorial donations may be made to Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St., Berlin, CT or The Benevolent Care Fund of CVOC.
