Blanca Virella
Blanca Virella, 83, of New Britain, widow of Albert Meyer, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at UCONN Health Center in Farmington.
Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Juan Virella and Gloria Negron. She was a New Britain resident for over 50 years and was employed at Honeywell before retiring. She was a member of St. Mary Church.
Surviving are her children, Nestor, Milagros, Orlando, Iris Nereida, Irma Iraida Perez Virella and Nelson Algarin Virella; her brothers and sisters, Edwin Virella, Edgar Virella, Yolanda Virella, Iris Virella, and Monin Mercado; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Saturday from 2-4 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
