Blanca A. Miranda

Blanca A. Miranda, 61, of New Britain, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in Dorado, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Geraldo Miranda and Joaquina Mercado. She was a long time New Britain resident and was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney. She was active in her community in many ways. Surviving are a son, Antonio Casiano and his wife Hannah of Bristol; a daughter, Katherine Casiano of New Britain; three sisters, Felicita Negron, Petra Rentas, and Maritza Miranda; her grandchildren, Rafael, Alizae, Alex, Antonio, and Immanuel; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jose Casiano. Funeral services will be held on Friday from 10 AM to 11AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
