Bienvenido Rodriguez

Bienvenido Rodriguez, 81, of Detroit, MI, passed away peacefully at Henry Ford Hospital,in Detroit, MI, Saturday, Nov, 24, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Modesta Rodriguez for 54 years. Bienvenido, was born on Oct, 3, 1931 in Las Maria's, Puerto Rico. A son of the late Antonio Rodriguez and Emilia (Martinez) Rodriguez of San Sebastian, PR. He lived in Puerto Rico later moving to New Britain, CT in 1966 and to Detroit, MI in 1984. Along with his wife Modesta, Bienvenido is beloved by his surviving children. Hector Rodriguez of Detroit, Mi, his three daughters Natividad Melendez of West Haven, Rosa Rodriguez of Newington, CT, and Rosa Iris Narvaez of San Antonio, TX; 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three sisters, Auria Rodriguez of Detroit, MI, Luiza Rodriguez of San Sebastian, PR, and Adamilda Rodriguez of Moca, PR. He is also survived by his three brothers Domingo Rodriguez of Middletown, NY, Teudi Rodriguez of San Sebastian, PR and Antonio Rodriguez of Orlando, FL. Bienvenido was predeceased by his son Luis Rodriguez; two brothers, Anibal Rodriguez and Nani Rodriguez, as well as his sister Marcia Ortiz. Calling hours are Monday, Nov 26, 2012, from 1 to 2:00 p.m. for immediate family and 2 to 8:00p.m. for open viewing at Risko-Ferguson Funeral Home, 7100 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI. Additional calling hours will be Wednesday, Nov 28, 2012 from 10-12:00 p.m. at Erickson & Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. New Britain, CT. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, CT.
