Beth Robinson Murphy

Beth Robinson Murphy, 46, of West Simsbury, beloved wife of Gerald J. Murphy, died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of Jane Gronback of Berlin and the late William E. Robinson. She was a resident of Berlin and Tariffville before moving to West Simsbury 15 years ago. Beth attended Eastern Connecticut State University and Central Connecticut State University. She was formerly employed as a rater and underwriter for commercial insurance. Most recently she was employed as a customer service clerk at Walgreen's in Simsbury. In addition to her husband and mother, Beth is survived by her brother, Scott Robinson and his wife Mindy of Columbus OH; two nieces, Megan Brooks and Brittany Robinson; her aunt, Arline Conger of Higganum; a cousin, Cheryl Salce of Cromwell; her brother-in-law, Rev. Timothy J. Murphy of Hamden, MA; and her loving dog, Samantha. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Maple cemetery, Berlin. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
