Barbara T. Ziegler

Barbara T. Ziegler, 76, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2012 at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor in New Britain. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Riccio) Taricani. She was a life- long New Britain resident and was formerly employed at the Connecticut Eye Bank. Barbara was a devoted member of St. Ann Church. Surviving are a son, Richard L. Ziegler Jr.; a daughter Jacqueline Sykes; two sisters, Joan Marotto and Rose Bouchard; and a grandson, George Glenn. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Ziegler Sr., a son, Anthony Sykes, and by a sister, Dorothy T. Coco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Church. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
