Barbara D. Carlson

Barbara D. Carlson, 68, of New Britain, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in New Britain, she was a life long resident and was formerly employed by the State of CT as an accountant before retiring. Barbara was a Ham Radio Operator (KB1RUO) and enjoyed cross-stitch.

Surviving are a son, Eric Doody and his wife Miriam; a step-son, Erick Carlson; a step-daughter, Jessica Greer and her husband Donnie; a sister, Lydia Jones; a brother, Jason Renaldi; her grandchildren, Angelina Doody, Rebecca Doody, and Daylin Sovie; two nieces, Vicky Rivera and her husband Alberto, and Natalie Jones; her former husband, Harold Doody; and several cousins. Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Lance Corporal Daphne Doody her mother, Lydia Rodriguez; and a brother, Christopher Rinaldi.

A calling hour and funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 6-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.
