Aurora Feliciano, age 96, a lifelong New Britain resident entered into eternal rest on April 25, 2017. She was a resident at Autumn Lake Healthcare, Dementia Unit, for the past year and a half.
Aurora was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. She worked at the School Carmen Gomez Tejera as a dietician aide for many years and also worked at Perlas Hispanas with Zulma Garcia as a dietary aide.
Aurora was predeceased by her husband Ramon Feliciano; and her sons-in-law Pablo Gomez and Armando Torres. Aurora is survived by her three daughters Rosita McGee, Aurora Castro and Lydia Gomez; and five sons Jesus Feliciano, Ramon Feliciano, Miguel Feliciano, Victor Feliciano and Luis A. Feliciano. Aurora had a five generation family; eight children, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Aurora enjoyed plants and loved playing pool and dominoes. She never missed the game shows Caso Cerrado and The Price is Right. She also enjoyed music and dancing. Aurora received many volunteer awards; Pathways/Senderos Center-Summer Community Service 1999, Nutrition Project - Volunteer Services 1987, and many more. She was a very caring and loveable person.
The McGee-Feliciano family would like to thank Autumn Lake Healthcare as well as the Hospice staff for their support and tremendous care of Aurora. Also thanks to Martha Home Care for helping our family. We will be forever grateful.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 1, at 1 PM at St. Mary Church. Final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home
