Atanacio Rosado Martinez, 64, of Martin Luther King Dr. New Britain, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in San German, Puerto Rico, he was a New Britain resident since 1985 and was a member of St. Mary Church. Surviving are nine daughters and one son, Carmen I. Ortiz and husband Julio Ortiz, Leida E. Castro and husband Ramon Castro, Luz D. Rodriguez, Ivette Willis, Emelania Downes and husband Brian Downes, Lissette Rosado and husband Pedro Acevedo, Arsenio Rosado and wife Sonia Diana, M. Haydee Mauroza and husband Felix Martinez, Ramona Valle and husband Jose Bayon, Marta Valle and husband Jose Martinez, all of New Britain. Also surviving are a sister, Concepsion Rosado and a brother, Rafael Rosado, both of San German, Puerto Rico; his girlfriend, Carmen Vazquez of New Britain; 24 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Agapito Rosado and Juanita Martinez. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 8:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 7-9 PM. Pallbearers will be his son, Arsenio Rosado; six sons-in-law, Ramon Castro, Julio Ortiz, Brian Downes, Pedro Acevedo, Felix Martinez, Jose Bayon, and Jose Martinez; and a grandson, Ramon Castro, Jr.
