Arthur Edward Munson

Arthur E. Munson, 78, of New Britain, died Wednesday , Jan. 14, 2004 at New Britain General Hospital. He was the widower of Mildred F. Munson, who died Aug. 6, 2000. Born in New Britain, he was a life-long resident. He was the son of the late Harry and Violet Carlson Munson. Arthur was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. He was formerly employed as a Tool & Die maker at Okay Industries, retiring in 1993. Arthur was a talented mechanically gifted individual who also enjoyed working around his home. Surviving are two sons, James A. Munson of New Britain and Michael G. Munson of Delaware City, DE; two brothers, Brad Munson of FL and William Munson of Watertown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Donna I. Munson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Burial, with military honors, will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 5-8 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
