Arlene Middlemass, 74, of New Britain was taken by the Angels to be with her family on Wednesday, July 06, 2005. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Edith Putnam Blauvelt. Arlene was a long time resident of New Britain and had previously lived in Newington and Plainville. She was formerly employed at Emhart, retiring in 1993. Arlene was a member at Trinity United Methodist Church in New Britain. She loved her family dearly and always enjoyed a good tag sale. Arlene is survived by, three daughters and sons-in-laws Peggy and James Ferrell of New Britain, Nancy Pelletier of Plainville, Laurie and Pat Jasunas of Bristol; her son and daughter-in-law, William and Linda Beyers of New York; her brother Robert Blauvelt of Bristol; ten grandchildren James, Brittany, Michael, Jamie, Christie, Patrick, Alyssa, Mellissa, Joey, and Billy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Samuel Blauvelt and a sister Ruth James. Funeral services will be held Friday at 8:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery.
