Antoinette D. Gozzo, 78, of Kensington, died Friday, March 14, 2003 after a courageous battle with Leukemia at New Britain General Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Paul Gozzo Born in Kensington, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ida Cusano DeBlasio. She was a Kensington resident most of her life and was a member of St. Pauls Church. Antoinette cherished her home and family, and loved to travel. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and always looked after her brothers and sister. In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by two daughters, Paula Castelli and her husband Donald of Farmington, Karen Nolan and her husband Robert of Hinesburg, VT; four grandchildren, Sarah Castelli, Molly Castelli, and James Castelli of Farmington, and Jeffrey Brushie of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Joseph DeBlasio and Louis DeBlasio, and a sister, Mary Chesery, all of Kensington; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Brennan and Vincenza Kierwiak. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will follow in West Lane Cemetery, Kensington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 300 Research Pkwy, Suite 300, Meriden, CT 06450.
