Anthony Edward Waas

Anthony Edward Waas, 38, of New Britain, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 at home with his family by his side, after battleing a long illness. Born in New Britain, he was a New Britain resident most of his life and was a former resident of Portland Maine. He attended local schools and was formerly employed as a construction worker. Surviving are his mother, Patricia Ann Niedzwiecki of New Britain; four daughters, Connie Waas and her fiancée Mark Whitney, Toni Waas, Angela Waas, and Mariah Waas, all of Maine; eight brothers and sisters, Patricia Pinero and her husband Alexjandro of New Britain, Connie Niedzwiecki of New Britain, David Waas Jr. of East Hartford, Joshua Waas and his wife Charity of New Britain, Jill Tomcic and her fiancee Roman Tybor of New Britain, Matthew Waas of New Britain, Madeline Dickey and her fiancee Robert Ashlund of New Britain, Holly Waas of California; a grandchild, Kaiden Whitney; his grandmother, Doris Foster; and his fiancée, Jeanie McClellan. He was predeceased by his father David E.Waas Sr. He also leaves several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
