Anthony, “Ant Live” Rivera, age 43 of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Oct. 9, 2023 surrounded by his wife and family. He endured a long battle with renal failure and Fabrys disease, and did so with laughter, love, and everything in him. Anthony was predeceased by his mother, Carmen Rivera. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Heidi Donovan; his service dog “son” Gizmo; his brothers, Jose Chex Rivera, Waldemar Rivera; his sister, Damaris Rivera; as well as several nieces and nephews. Anthony also leaves behind his aunts, Maria Lugo and Omaira Rojas; his uncles, Israel Rivera and Nelson Rivera; his cousins Rivera, Rojas, Maldonado’s, Solis, Castro, Colon, Diaz, Lugo’s, and Otero’s, whom he loved with all of his heart. Anthony has always had a special bond with his cousin’s children. He also leaves behind his best friend, Manny Maldonado (Sandbox), and his right hand, David Mercado and family.
Anthony was a remarkable, kind, and giving person, full of genuine love that he gave to everyone. He loved his co-workers at Westmain Pizza, and his customers. Anthony loved his Sunday football and his sneakers, but most of all, his dog Gizmo. Anthony’s memory will live on in all of us.
In honor of Anthony, we will be asking everyone to join us in a Celebration of Life service on November 3, 2023 at 6:00 pm, at the Bristol Polish American Club, 541 North Main St. Bristol, CT 06010. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain, is in charge of arrangements.
