Anthony Louis Lupia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Louis Lupia, beloved father, brother, uncle and son, on November 6, 2024, at the age of 67.  Born in New Britain and a resident of Berlin, he will be remembered for his gifted musical talent as a drummer and percussionist having received a degree in Music Education from the University of Bridgeport.  For many years he worked in the insurance industry as a contract analyst.  Anthony loved anything baseball, from watching the Boston Red Sox, to coaching and watching any team his son Felice played on.  He would be at every game whether in the stands, or in the dugout.  Tony was also an avid fisherman.

Anthony is predeceased by his father Felice Lupia, and is survived by his mother, Josephine (Frazzetta) Lupia, son Felice Lupia, sister Mary Dzen and husband Bill, niece Amanda Dzen, former wife Barbara Lupia along with cherished friends and family from California to Connecticut to Calabria, Italy.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Cemetery, 1165 Worthington Ridge, Berlin.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is assisting with funeral arrangements.
