Anthony J. Forgette, 48, of Newington, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in Meriden, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gilberte LaRose Forgette. He was a former resident of New Britain and Dover, DE before moving to Newington in 1996. Anthony was a US Air Force Veteran and was employed as a technician at Close To Home in Glastonbury. He enjoyed live musical performances and was an avid fisherman. He will be remembered for his offbeat sense of humor and quick wit. Surviving are a son, A. Michael Forgette of West Haven; a daughter, Nikki Forgette of Newington; a brother, Mark Forgette and his wife, Sherla of East Barre, VT; three sisters, Leanne Provini of New Britain, Celine Gudelski and her husband, Theodore of Lebanon, PA, Jacqueline Lux and her husband, Warren of New Britain; a beloved cousin, Arthur Smulski; his former wife, Sandra Russo; and many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Regina Michaud. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
