Annette J. Urban

Annette Josephine Urban, 83, of Farmington and formerly of New Britain, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006 at Farmington Care Center. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late John and Antoinette Urban. She was a graduate of New Britain High School and the New Britain General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1946. She was a former long time New Britain resident before sharing her time in Farmington and North Fort Meyers, Florida. Annette worked at New Britain General Hospital for a short time before joining the Navy. She was a US Navy Veteran and during her career was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, before retiring from the Navy. Surviving are her loving sisters, Anna Hummell of Farmington, Marion Farr of Berlin and Alice Ramsey of Miami, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Stasia Keevers, and two brothers, Joseph Urban and John Urban. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
