Anna Emily Suess Palmgren, 92, of Bristol, and formerly of New Britain, died peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2008 at Ingraham Manor in Bristol. She was the widow of John B. Palmgren. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Henry F. and Helen S. Suess. She was a former New Britain resident before moving to Bristol in 1985. She attended St. Matthew's School in New Britain and was formerly employed at Andrews Furniture Co. in New Britain for several years. She was a former member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Surviving are her daughter, Helen S. Palmgren, Angelillo Swanson and her husband C. Jay Swanson of Bristol; five grandsons and their spouses, Louis Angelillo Jr. and his wife Paige of Southington, Anthony Angelillo Sr. and his wife Sharon of Plantsville, Richard Angelillo and his wife Mary of Southington, John Angelillo and his wife Dawn of Plainville, David Angelillo Sr. and his wife Sandy of Southington; three step-grandsons, David Swanson Sr. of Bangor, ME, Danny Swanson of Torrington, Darin Swanson and his wife Katherine of Plainville. Also surviving are thirteen great grandchildren, Louis III, Matthew, Emily, Joshua, A.J. Jr., Nicole, Danielle, Brianna, and D.J. Jr. Angelillo, Marissa and Jordan Chapman, April and Alex Carr; seven step-great grandchildren, David Jr., Darcie, Jessica and Amanda Swanson, John and his wife Lourie, and Samantha Nunes; four step-great great grandchildren, Jade Harvey, Danny Brewer, Jason and Keith Nunes; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many cherished friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
