Anna Materek

Anna Materek, 84, of New Britain, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Brittany Farms Healthcare Center. Born in Poland, she lived in Poland and Germany before moving to New Britain in 1950. She was formerly employed at Landers, Frary & Clark before retiring. Surviving are three sons, Bernard Panik and his wife Rachel of Newington, Henry Materek and his wife Cindy of Bristol, and Joseph Materek; two daughters, Lucy Snow and her husband Timothy of New Britain, and Heddy Panik; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Snow, Brian Snow, Tina Panik, and Shawn Panik. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brittany Farms Healthcare Center, 400 Brittany Farms, New Britain, CT 06053.
